Prometheus, young, idealistic and rebellious, confronts Zeus, defiant but aware that no mercy awaits him. Zeus and Prometheus are driven by intractable and overwhelming self-belief and hubris. While Prometheus is eventually rescued by Hercules, Zeus will have his revenge on mankind through creating Pandora, the first woman, designed for the purpose of bringing evil into the world.
